Seriously. I am just not feeling the Christmas spirit this year. I don’t have a tree, I haven’t done any cards, and I haven’t bought one present. Christmas music makes me want to vomit. I just can’t believe it’s the most wonderful time of the year. So I’ve decided to pretend it’s not Christmas. If I don’t go Christmas shopping, it’s easy to avoid the music. If I don’t have a tree, it’s could be any month. And I’m terrible about sending cards anyway, so why start now? That’s right. I’m in denial. And anyway, doesn’t Festivus sound like more fun?

I’ve bought presents and put up a tree although I didn’t want to put up a tree I only put it up because my niece bought me a ornament for it and pouted when I said I wasn’t putting it up. I hate most Christmas music the only kind I like is hymns I can’t stand modern carols.

I’m not feeling very Christmasey this year either. So you’re definitely not the only one. I put up very few decorations, no cards, and very few gifts (mostly due to budgetary constraints). And I don’t want to be anywhere near Christmas music.

Ugh I feel you!!! Every year it seems to get harder and harder. This year we didn’t do the tree, the kids are having Xmas Dec 24 then leaving for four days which is like the GREATEST CHRISTMAS GIFT EVER!!!
The one thing I did that that made me really happy? Go buy toys for Toys for Tots. I wanted to go to the airport either the 24th or 25th and welcome home the troops but the kids are going to be gone. Maybe New Years Day instead!
