Holiday Fave
Ever get fixated on certain holiday decorations? Or a theme? Well for years I was all about the snowman. I have so many snowman ornaments and decorations I can’t even set them all out. And I haven’t bought any in the last couple of years because I’ve accumulated so many. In fact, I think it was the Christmas of 2000? 1999? One of the snowmen fell off a shelf and cracked my head. I had to get five staples! I was bleeding everywhere! Awful. And I still love the snowman even though he hurt me.
The past couple of years I’m diggin’ the snowflake.
Ah I think they’re so pretty. And it’s damn near cold enough around here to produce some of those snowflakes if only the clouds would cooperate. Sigh. I usually gripe about snow but right now I want some. The kids would love it! The dog would probably freak.
And then of course there’s one of my favorite holiday songs - Pretty Purple Snowflakes by Marvin Gaye. I discovered this song over ten years ago when I worked at The Limited and had to listen to Christmas music on a tape over and over and over and over again…and this was on the tape. Such a cool song! Um would you like some of the 5 inches that fell last night making driving impossible? With more to come.
But I do agree, snowflakes are very beautiful. I have a few glittery blue and silver snowflake decorations on my tree. :)

I like snowflakes too, but I’m all about the reindeer. I have all shapes and sizes of reindeer.
