Shameless Promotion – Hidden Available Now!

So I’m totally copping out blog-topic-wise and talking about my new novella that came out this last Friday at Ellora’s Cave, Hidden. Yeah, yeah I know it’s cheating but I have some sort of head cold going on and well, my brain cells aren’t quite connecting. And the area below my left nostril is raw from blowing my nose. Ewww, gross huh? Sorry, TMI.

 Anyway, here’s more about Hidden…

Book one in the Sin City Shifters series.

As a shadow dancer, Daisy titillates the ever-growing crowds at Swank Hotel’s upscale Seduction Lounge. When Sebastian Collins attempts to steal her away to save his own failing business, she declines. Even in a city of freaks, she stands out. At Swank, surrounded by her own kind, Daisy’s safe. But that doesn’t stop her from being intrigued by the sexy club owner. With a little help from her bartending witch friend, Daisy transforms long enough to steal several orgasmically delicious hours with Sebastian. Afterward, he’s desperate to see her again — but the real Daisy might be too hot for Sebastian to handle.Excerpt time? Sure – after the jump!

“Trust me, you want to meet him.”

Daisy clutched the phone tighter to her ear, wiping her face off with a towel. “Is he all that?”

“Dais, I wanted to fan myself when I realized just how good-looking he was. He’s smokin’ hot. Dark hair, dark eyes, muscular bod—and he’s wearing this sexy suit that fits him just right. I didn’t get a chance to check out his ass though.”

Daisy tossed the towel into a basket. Nerves chewed up her insides and she took a deep breath.

No way could she meet this guy, this “smokin’ hot” guy, looking like she did, all dragon-like and sweaty on top of it. He’d freak.

It was do-or-die time.

“Does your offer still stand?”

“What offer?”

Daisy sighed. Monique was so forgetful sometimes. “The offer you made me, about altering my appearance with a spell?”

“Ooh yeah, that offer. Sure! Let me get someone to cover me for a few minutes and I’ll come back there and wave my magic wand.”

“You have a magic wand now? You never told me that!”

“Figure of speech, babe. My mom won’t give me a magic wand. She says I have to earn it.” Monique sighed in frustration.

The struggle between Monique and her mother had been going on essentially since Monique’s birth. Daisy didn’t know how she dealt with it.
Of course, Daisy’s non-existent parents had abandoned her long ago. She had no idea what it was like to have to deal with a strict mother. The only mother she’d ever had was Joe.

And she doubted he’d appreciate being called a mother.

“Well hurry up and get back here! I need help.”

“Will do.”

Daisy snapped her phone shut and then grabbed a brush, smoothing her hair out as best she could. With all the head tossing and heavy dancing, her hair always grew damp with sweat, coaxing the already natural wave to curl even more. Little ringlets framed her face when she pulled her hair back and she stuck her tongue out at her reflection in the mirror, twisting her hair into a ponytail.

She should take a shower. No way could she meet Mister Sebastian Collins smelling like a sweaty bar. Gross.

Shedding her miniscule costume, she hurried toward the bathroom and small shower that the dancers occasionally used. She turned the faucet on, letting the water heat up before hopping into the shower and soaping herself frantically, letting the spray of water mist her hair.

She had no time to wash that mess. She’d have to dose it with that refresher spray she’d found a couple months ago and hope for the best. Washing it would result in a thick mass of wet waves that would take hours to dry.

Daisy did not have hours. She had mere minutes.

Late to the party! Dude where have you been?
