There’s a new Mrs. Robinson in town

So my back is still having issues. Not sure WHAT I did, but I’m heading to the doc’s today… (yes! I’m hoping for pills and an osteopath referral!)

So my weekend was pretty low key. I went to my RWA chapter meeting  and lunch afterward, then came back. Then I had a friend over (did I mention the kid was out of town with grandparents!) and we did dinner/movies/cheesecake. I should also explain that I tend to forget to return movies, thus have not rented in 10 years (no seriously, I haven’t) I just buy. I bought all four of these used on one of those buy two get two free deals.

Sooo here’s what we saw and my consensus.

The Sentinel was good, nice action, but not overwhelmly fabulous.

The Heartbreak Kid was…almost just okay. It had a few funny moments, but so obviously written by a man. And usually I like man humor, but this was over the top.  Definitely not a warm fuzzy rom/com.

Jumper oh my God. I ate this up with a freaking spoon. Yes, I know it’s geared for the teens and twenties crowd, but I adored it. Loved it. It was exciting, suspenseful, romantic, and the little British Jumper was cute and so funny.

Music and Lyrics at times a little slow and predictable, but definitely a sweet rom/com.  The 80’s video of Hugh Grant’s band totally made the movie.

Okay, now onto my point. So after my round of movie watching I’ve come to a conclusion–I’m pulling a Karen and becoming another Mrs. Robinson. No, I will not fight her in a death match for Shia Lebouf.  In fact, I have found my very own barely legal to lust after. And I know I’ve blogged all over the place about how I’m generally not a big younger guy fan, but this guy almost makes me change my mind.

*Cue angels singing*

Yes, the broody little Hayden Christensen from Jumper. I remember seeing him in Star Wars Episode I… who knew the little twerp would grow up so nummyliscious. Anyone else have a Mrs. (or Mr.) Robinson confession?
