Kittens out strutting

So I had a pretty fabulous weekend. Since I would be gone a lot, what with my RWA chapter meeting and an overnight event I planned to go to Saturday, my parents took the kid for a couple of days.
I had a blast. SO much fun! It was a weekend of firsts! Let’s see, at the chapter meeting I made my first collage, which is basically a poster board of images and crafty things to represent your book at a glance. This was so incredibly helpful and fun! Then, the fun began. Oh wait, it actually began the night before
You see Feisty came to town. That’s right, she flew in to go to the Erotic Arts festival on Sat. night. Now I knew she was coming in Friday, but I fully intended to have a peaceful, quiet, writing filled Friday night. Feistylicious had other plans. She refused to take no for an answer, and soon she’d convinced me and my friend Danielle to go out on the town with her and Lacy. Which leads me to another first. We went The Can Can and I saw my first Burlesque show! OMG it was FANTASTIC! That night was entirely too much fun, and sadly, too short
Then comes Saturday and the start of girls night. Feisty, Lacy, Gwen from Divas, and I had lunch on Broadway, did some shopping and then got a hotel under the shadow of the Space Needle. We got dolled up (or wait, sexed up?) and then started our night. We hit a brewery and ate yummy food and discussed the writing industry talk (receipt for dinner became a tax deduction!). Then we hit the Erotic Arts Show. Sadly, for me, totally overrated and a yawner and so not worth the $25. Bad overpriced drinks, not much art, and stage shows you could barely see. But the night was still young and thus we traversed to a ’sex positive club’. Another first for me and Gwen as well. I’m not going to say anything more, except it was muy intersante.
We wrapped up the Girls weekend with breakfast at a best in Seattle bakery and did a little more shopping (or attempted to, but we were all just so tired) and then headed out.
What did I learn? Well, I need to smile more and be more approachable to men (but that’s a WHOLE different post) and I need to get out more! Thanks for convincing me to come out on Friday, Feisty! I LOVED it. And Saturday was kick ass too.
Here’s some thumbnail pics (click to make bigger) of us!

Hi Shelli! What a lovely post! It sounds like you all had a wonderful time. I’m shy-hermit-writer who never goes anywhere, so it’s always fun to live vicariously through you.

Ummm…’we traversed to a ’sex positive club’. Another first for me and Gwen as well. I’m not going to say anything more, except it was muy intersante.’
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! You’re not going to say anything more?? That’s all you’re giving us?

Yeah, I’d like to hear more too
Sounds like you had a great time - everything a girl’s night out should be. I’m way too stay-at-home too. I guess I need to get out more too.

Hehe. Have you all recovered yet?

Recovered? Not hardly, lol.
We did have a blast. And RG is right about Feisty’s Free Spririt Pheremones too.
I went to bed at 8:30 last night. Seriously.

If Shelli won’t share, I’m positive that Feisty will.
Sounds like you had a ball! I’m envious.
Oh, and I love storyboard collages. I make them all of the time. Well, I used to, when I was writing …Another month Ames!!!

Speaking as a long time and quite experienced lecher, those are very yummy pictures.
Now I’m even more anxious for my upcoming trip to take place. It’s become a tradition for a group of erotica writers I hang with. Every year at the end of March.
It’s going to be a blast.
