Rest In Peace

We’ve become awfully jaded in this world. We don’t even bat an eye when we hear yet another report about Britney losing her mind or Eddie Murphy breaking up with his bride of two weeks. We feed the trolls known as the paparrazi (and I’m guilty of it, I do love me some TMZ) but they trail after those celebrities constantly and I can’t imagine living that life. It would make me insane (hmm is that Brit’s problem then?).
I guess you sign up for that if you become a celebrity but to that extent? I’m seeing it in its full glory today with the sudden death of Heath Ledger. On the TMZ site for instance the reports are updated every few minutes - I swear they even had a live stream feed at his apartment, waiting for them to bring the body out. That’s just wrong.
I’m saddened by his death. Not because he was my favorite actor (though he was awesome in The Patriot), but just because it was so shocking, so horrible! I feel for his family, especially his two year old daughter. He was only twenty eight. Such a waste.

The thing is if it had been Britney, no one would have been surprised. We’re almost waiting for her to follow in Anna’s footsteps.
But Heath…it’s such a shock. So tragic and sudden. That’s a great picture of him. *Sniffle* I’m teary just reading it. My favorite movie of his was 10 Thing I Hate About You. I never saw A Knight’s Tale, though I think I shall now.

Everyone knows goldfish don’t last very long in a bowl. Celeb’s are just the human version. I feel for Matilda, even with everything he’s done and achieved the one thing that will be uppermost in her memory of her father is his death.
So sad.
As an Aussie it’s more so, we’ve lost one of our great talents today.

Shelli I LOVE A Knights Tale! *Sigh* I think you hit the nail on the head (that we so wouldn’t have been surprised if it had been Brit) and I for one and SO SAD! I really liked him as an actor *sigh*

I first saw Heath in a TV series called Roar and thought he had talent then. (If you are not familiar with this, I have a clip on my blog). I loved him in A Knight’s Tale and The Patriot. It is a tragic loss, and more so when you hear that it might have been an accident.

I was so sad to hear about this, I really was. I really liked him as an actor, and I’m shocked this happened. I loved a Knight’s Tale.

It’s just a tragedy. I’m so sad for his daughter. He was unbelievably cute in 10 Things I Hate About You.
