How Can I Top A Trip to Toyland?

I can’t. In fact, after reading Amie’s post and pondering exactly what goes on in my life, I’ve decided that I’m rather…gulp…BORING.
The biggest excitement around here is the neighbor who set his hill on fire by accident on New Year’s Day. Whoo hoo! Firefighters climbing the mountain! I even pulled out a chair, sat down and watched them for a while. Hey the weather was nice and who can turn down watching firefighers climb over rocks in their yellow turnouts? Not me.
But yeah. I’m boring. Nothing exciting really happens in my life. My characters in my various books get to experience waaay better lives. Crazy things happen to them. Dramatic things. Life altering, OMG what is going on type things.
Also, OMG do that again, touch me right THERE type things are happening too. My characters lead fabulous sex lives. They don’t have to deal with the exhaustion of working all day, of children creeping into their beds at night. Yeah, the real stuff. Get rid of the real stuff I say!
Where is this post going? I don’t really know. I’m meandering all over the place. I may complain my life is boring but you know what? I led a dramatic life back in my mid-twenties and it sucked. Big time. I had a lot of problems, a lot of drama in my life and I hated it. I could’ve gone on Jerry Springer, my life was so crazed. What a nightmare.
So I guess I’ll take boring any day. At least I have my children and husband who love me, a nice house and way too many cats to keep me company. Oh yeah, and I have my characters too. The crazy ones who lead out of control lives.

Like these two. I swear a scene something like this is going into a future book!

OMG What a great pic! I lead a boring life. I love it though. I couldn’t do all the ultra crazy exciting stuff. I love to experience it when I write a book though.
I so wish I could have watched firemen as they tried to put out the fire on the mountain. Mmmm.

Boring is highly underrated, Karen. Weekend adventure aside, I usually have a pretty boring life myself, and I’m okay with it.

I’m trying to type around a cat that wants to be spanked (move Bubba). Yes, that’s it. Spanking my BDSM cat is the highlight of my day.
Yep, I find my excitement in my characters - at least someone is getting something.

I’ll take the excitement, sorry.

At least I have my children and husband who love me,
And firemen!!!!!!! You have firemen!
Believe me there is NOTHING wrong with boring. Speaking of Jerry Springer, I used to know this guy, he was HAWT and he was dating a much older woman and couldn’t get rid of her no matter how hard he tried. Did I mention he was HAWT (and sweet to boot which is probably part of the reason he coudln’t get rid of her *swoon*)
Anyway, about three or four years after our little group broke apart guess where I saw him? Jerry Springer. I SHIT you NOT!
Gawd he was so hot.

Ha! He was really on Springer Amie? That is too much! Why??? Curious minds want to know - was it the older woman he couldn’t get rid of?
And yeah firefighters are nice. My dad AND mom used to work at the CA Dept of Forestry so firefighters have been a part of my life since I was little…….hee hee.
