Erotic(a)

So after Feisty talked about her 80s party and her endless fascination with Madonna I decided to indulge myself in a Madonna search myself.  I love the Madonna of the 80s but truly, my favorite Madonna is when she went through her weird, sexual experimentation stage in the early 90s.

She made those naugty videos that got banned on MTV.  Then she decided to publish that book called Sex which was released in October of 1992 (hey I did my research).  The CD Erotica came out then too (which I bought and STILL love). I was a poor college student who worked a crap job making a crap wage. Of course I couldn’t afford the book, though I wanted it. Trucked my butt to Tower Books in downtown Chico (party college of the 90s my friends!) and flipped through it.  Imagine my shock and horror!  There was Madonna naked!  Kissing girls!  Whipping boys!  Wrapped in chains and black leather! Writing naughty little stories that used **gasp** graphic language!  I didn’t know what to think back then.

Funny how I don’t blink an eye about any of it now.  Hell, I’m trying to make a living out of writing those naughty stories! (Naughty photo alert coming up)

So here are some photos from the book.  They’re all graphic in nature so be warned. Wonderfully taken, in my opinion some of the best pics I’ve ever seen of Madonna.

I couldn’t post this full size cos it wouldn’t fit but this is a dirty little story. And let me tell you, it’s hot. And well written. Did she really write this? Madonna missed her calling being an erotica author.

And last but not least, here’s Madonna whipping some man ass. Naughty girl. Gotta love her, I’m tellin’ ya.

So anyone actually own this book?  Lucky dog, they went out of print almost immediately.  I would love a copy but I’ve searched on ebay and whew, they’re pricey.  Do you remember when it came out? And the scandal it caused? I’m not a big fan of her nowadays but you gotta love Madonna. I know I do.

   OMG, I remember that book! I didn’t own it, but I knew someone who did so I got to “read” it…I was probably a freshman in college at the time. Good times.

   I would SOOOOOOO Do Vanilla Ice. He was in Rodeo U (I think that’s the name) with Ty Murray where they trained the celebs to ride bulls. *sigh*

   I vaguely remember this but what i do remember is Pepsi pulling her contract after she did the Like a Prayer video (Interracial love/overtones of slavery)

   Yeah, I’ve got a copy! Went all over town to get one, the day it came out. Then the shop I least thought have one had a few copies in stock!

   I suppose it’s a collectors’ item now, but I wouldn’t part with it. Those pix are hot!!!

   Oh, Vanilla Ice. I *loved* him sophomore year of high school.

   There was even a junior who I thought was hot that looked exactly like him. Complete with shaved eyebrow and everything! His name was David. Boy, could he dance. I once sat on his lap in the front seat of another friend’s car. He had the softest hands.

   Wow — amazing how all that comes flooding back!

    I remember that book. I didn’t buy it or ever see it but now I wish I had. I never was a Madona fan though. Too much for me.

    I fucking love her! She’s such an icon. I went to the MAC store yesterday, and the guy totally made me up to look like her in her Lucky Star video. He knew exactly what shade of lipstick to use. He gave me big eyebrows and even a mole. I walked all over the mall like that. It was awesome.
