I’m Not Worthy

So much to my excitement and nervousness, my first novella with Ellora’s Cave is coming out in January. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful editor (yes, really she is! I’m not just sucking up! Love you KK!) and her posse of authors call themselves Kelli’s Kittens.
Who came up with that? I dunno but it’s cute. I like being a kitten. There are a lot of great authors who are kittens. Like Marianne Lacroix, Sierra Dafoe, Ann Bruce (recent Brava contest finalist!) — the list goes on. And I’m not trying to exclude anyone, just thinking off the top of my head. A dangerous thing, I might add.
So anywho, I’ve been chatting up Red Garnier just cos it’s so easy to talk to her. She’s so friendly, so funny! Me likey her.
And me likey her writing even more.

So yeah I don’t mean to gush on but seriously, after reading this, the way Red made the hero just so damn delicious, well, it made me feel not worthy. But in a good way. In a, “I need to go work on my revisions right now so my editor will love me like she surely loves Red.”
Because I’m in love with Red. Just a teeny little bit.
What author have you fallen in love with lately? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Tell me.

I just discovered Barbara Freethy. “Played” and “Taken” were great. I’m trying to get books on her backlist.

Stephanie Meyers–didn’t feel like I was reading YA as much as I was revisiting that time of my life
Anna Campbell–excellent POV and sexual tension

I know I am WAY behind the times but I just read JR Ward’s DARK LOVER last week and I couldn’t put it down and I want MORE.
I also read an Elizabeth Hoyt book (The Serpent Prince) and immediately had to buy the other two Prince books.

Aw yeah Gwen Anna Campbell!! Loved her book! I think her new one is out soon…
And Stephenie Meyer is releasing an adult book this next spring. I’m curious to read it. I read Twilight and enjoyed it, need to read the other two.
I haven’t read anyone else y’all suggested. I think I need to check ‘em out!

Karen - you’ve got damn good taste in books!!
IMO, it’s her best yet (but I say that about every book she releases!!)
I’ve got a total crush on Red too. Her writing is awesome, and if you liked Divine Assistant, you MUST get Bona Fide Liar.
I can’t wait for her Jewel story to come out in February.
