Cinderella She Ain’t

First off I never picked the winners from this post. I apologize. I got sick!

SHANNA BRANNON COME ON DOWN!

You’ve won an autographed copy of Nalini Singh’s VISIONS OF HEAT and an unautographed copy of Jill Shalvis’ SMART AND SEXY. Contact me at spamless at amiestuart.com with your snail mail address and I’ll get them out to you.

Today’s post contains censored nudity and yes, she’s 18

So Shell’s post about high school yesterday got my juices flowing because you know I have children so we see a LOT of Disney in my house.

Apparently the house of Disney is in mourning as word on the street is Vanessa Hudgens (of HS Musical Fame)was dumb enough to have her naked bootie photographed for her boyfriend.

Damn she could have at least gotten a professional photographer!

I’d say she failed Intro to Being Famouse 101 pretty badly….but it got me thinking have you ever had naked pics taken?

Are you afraid that sometime after you become a BIG NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR they will surface? And if not photos, is there some other skeleton in your closet you’re worried about surfacing (IE the ex boyfriend you did things with you’d rather never remember)? If you’re NOT worried, why?

[…] chatting about the recent HS Musical hubbub and skeletons in our closets over at NAS today so stop on by. Posted by Amie • 09.18.07 […]

  2. Lillian Says:

I’d be more afraid of pictures the bad outfits I wore in high school to surface, honestly. Heck, I’d love to see some naked pics of myself back in the day. My tits were much perkier than! :boob:

    :tmi:
They didnt have a wide lens so no pictures for me… :evillaugh:

  4. Jordan Says:

No, I’ve never let anyone take pics of me naked. Heck, I barely let bathing suit photos get taken. *ggg* As for skeletons in the closet, I think everyone has at least one thing that they’d like to keep quiet. I think the best way to face something like the above photo is just to claim a combo of youth and stupidity. Most people will understand.

  5. Shelli Says:

I have to agree that the chick was just so stupid. I mean if you’re working with DISNEY–DISNEY for Pete’s sake–you’d better be on your best behavior. That’s pretty much a no brainer. Or one would think.

Hmm I have one picture, okay two, that could possibly get me in trouble. And I wasn’t even naked in either. Okay wait, one was topless, but I swear to God it was equivalent to a girls gone wild moment, there were a few of us, and we grabbed the photo right away and destroyed it.

    Otherwise…skeletons? No I don’t think so…

  6. Amie Stuart Says:

    Feist! LOL

    RUby….STFU!

  7. Amie Stuart Says:

Jordan I can barely be brought to wear shorts! LOL
I get you on youth and stupidity but at the same time I’m with Shell–HELLO You’re making DISNEY movies!

  8. Ladytink_534 Says:

Did she seriously think that no one would ever see those photos? How dumb could she be?! I bet her parents are really happy with her… not to mention the Disney studio heads!

I have done some pretty stupid stuff but I was always aware (especially in high school) that nude photos (etc.) will come back to bite you so I was always really careful about stuff like that.

  9. Shelli Says:

Seriously. Don’t people think about that when they’re taking them? I just shake my head.

  10. Lynn Matherly Says:

Gimme a break! All it takes is a boyfriend jealous of her fame or pissed off at her and… tada… pics on the Internet. :wtf:

I thought DISNEY used to have morality clauses in their contracts. Maybe they’ve had to reconsider because they can’t find any wholesome young stars anymore???? :evillaugh:

  11. Denise ~ Says:

The thing that cracks me up–and I always find the odd-side of things–she’s dating Zac Effron her co-star. Maybe this was for the beau before him, dunno, but if not, if it is/was for him, then he’s got some ’splaining to do as to how they got out . . . s’all I’m saying

  12. Amie Stuart Says:

Dennie….I read somewhere just as gossip that it was publicity bec. of the rumors about Zac being gay :)

    :badgirl:

Look, everybody has a past. And in everybody’s past is some @sshole just waiting to gain his or her fifteen minutes. I feel bad for the girl, but this too shall pass. In another month, the media will be on to the next flavor of the minute.

  14. julia Says:

It always makes me wonder what the younger versions of performers seeking stardom could have been thinking when they pose for nude shots early on. If you’re going to be nude, just be nude - don’t apologize for it. If you’re going to then work for Disney, disclosure kiddies! They’ve got expense accounts. They’ll buy your old photos and make it all go away.

  15. Karen Says:

What the hell is wrong with the young people these days? Good lord I feel old but come on. Posing for nudie pics? Miss Precious Disney High School Musical? Naughty naughty. :badgirl:

But I’m with Feist - if nude pics of me surfaced from back in the day after I’ve hit it big I’d probably think, “Damn I look good.” Cos I don’t look that good anymore… :wootrock:

  16. Shelli Says:

I read she was just trying to keep Zac interested or something. Which is understandable, if not a little depressing. Still. One word would make me say, umm bad idea. Disney. Shakes head.
