I Want to Have His Baby and I Don’t Know Why
Don’t we all get little crushes on dudes that are public figures? Movie stars, TV stars, sports figures, even politicians. I get so caught up on certain men that I start basing ALL of my heroes on him. But it’s like I can’t let them go.
Yes, I realize I’m a freak. You don’t need to rub it in.
So I see this picture of Clive Owen and I think damn. He looks kinda hot sitting there on the sidelines of a freaking women’s fashion show in NYC for God’s sake. Surrounded by several beautiful actresses - Demi Moore, Hilary Swank, Maggie Gyllenhaal. I like the expression on his face. I like the way he’s sitting - very manly. I like that big ol’ watch on his wrist. I like the way his hands are clasped. I like the suit he’s wearing.
First thought when I saw this photo - I’d have his baby.
I don’t WANT anymore babies. I’d freak the HELL out if I got pregnant right now (I have 3 and I’m too old and too burnt out for any more - I’m done). So why would that crazy thought run through my mind?
So I decided to look him up on the Internet (the Internet is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?) and as I’m looking at other photos I’m very “eh.” He’s not all that. I go back to the above picture and I immediately want to have his baby again. 
Weird!
Anyone ever do this before? All it takes is one photo and you’re swooning. Any other photos of the same person and you’re like 
I don’t get it.
(p.s. Hillary Swank’s legs are like toothpicks! Look how skinny they are!)

I have to admit, this picture does nothing for me. He looks like a guy at a fashion show and so all I can think is…why is there a guy at a fashion show?
But yes. I can totally develop a crush on just a picture. Totally and completely. I can’t remember the last person it happened with. Actually, I fell in lust with Matthew McConaughey after watching him in A Time to Kill.

I think we all have are little hook ups all it takes is a picture, a cetain pose, that gesture and wham it can hit hard. I even gave my current hero a whip! But he used it a little bit differently, if you get my drift.

Oh, I adore Clive Owen! I do wonder why he’s at the fashion show, but he is surrounded by beautiful, famous women–so maybe there is a method to his madness.
I also adore Viggo–very close to my own age, thank you very much, children!
Also, Colin Firth, Eric Bana and Orlando, despite his age. He’s just so good with a sword.

My latest obsession is Jared Leto. Strange, but he’s been in movies for a long time and I didn’t think much of him. Now he’s in a band and I’m like: Wow! He’s quite the hottie. I think it’s that whole musician thing. ;) But I find him irresitable now and searched for a thousand pics of him on the net. Okay, maybe not a thousand, but still enough to make sure I can model every single hero I write after him from now on.

Everyone already knows I’d like to do Chad Kroeger on a tour bus, mostly because of his lyrics and his voice. Normally I’d curl my lip at a rock star — especially one who’s blond, and a smoker, and younger than me, and wears jeans at least six sizes smaller than mine. In fact, he’s really not my type at all, but there you have it — the attraction that happens against all reason.

Like way, way way…back in the 70s when Rocky Balboa threw his hands up on that overhead beam and talked to Adrienne the first time she came up to his apartment. I don’t remember what the HELL he was saying and it doesn’t matter AT ALL! It’s the arms…the shoulders…the movement.
Still takes my breath away.
